6/23/11 Join the Virtual Tour
Log your miles of any form of self-propelled locomotion and join me, the staff and the greater community of Boys’ Home. The goal is to log what I would have ridden. See their link here for details in reporting. Let’s have some fun making lemons into lemonade—I am walking and logging!

6/15/11 UPDATE: MY TRAINING WRECK RESULTED IN A BROKEN COLLARBONE AND CANCELLATION OF MY PARTICIPATION. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED NOT TO DO THIS AND FEEL A BIG LET-DOWN TOWARD THE BOYS AND ALL SPONSORS AND SUPPORTERS. THANK YOU TO WWW.MELTSNOW.COM, SPORTFIT GYM, PEDAL PUSHERS, SHEEHAN GRAPHIC DESIGN, FRIENDS AND ALL THE DONORS FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT. THE SILVER LINING IS THAT I SHOULD HEAL QUICKLY AND REGAIN MY HEALTH AND ACTIVITY.

Looks Good PX!!
Thank you. I am still refining and trying to make it more visually interesting. Suggestions about WordPress are welcomed.
–way to go, Paul!
Thank you. Keep track of the progress once I am underway.
Paul – you will be staying in Rochester, MN at some point – that is where i grew up! should be nice biking on through there – have done a good bit of it there myself. . . .
I shall need to be sure to post some photos from there for your viewing pleasure and a touch of nostalgia.
I like the black background. It makes it look a little more finished than before. Your links are working great and I can see your pictures just fine in each post. Looks great! I can’t believe you packed your bike today to ship over yonder.
Good feedback, thank you. Yes, I am tracking the UPS shipment to get the peace-of-mind that it will arrive as planned. My worst nightmare is arriving in Oregon and not having a bicycle. I shipped it early enough to have plenty of time.
Way to go, Thanks Mr. English! We all hope you have a fun and safe trip!
From all of us in Greene Cottage!
Thank you. I am on my way to UPS to ship the bike to Oregon this morning. It is getting a lot closer to the start.
We know you can do it Mr. English. We are behind you 100%. Have fun and be safe on your journeys across the USA from coast to coast.
From all of us in Darling Cottage!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the encouragement from Darling. Keep it up and let me hear from you once I am on the road. Watch the map.
Good luck PX! May all the hills be downhill and the wind always at your back. Won’t happen, but be safe. I’ll be following you online.
Bob
Ooops! Took a spill and am out of the ride for this year. Thanks for the encouragement. I’ll get healed and figure out the next steps. First real broken bone for me! Best to you Bob.
PX, we’re still holding you in our thoughts and prayers through your NEW journey. You continue to have our support. Take care – Betty B.
My thanks for all the wonderful support from you and the others!
Sorry about the bad news. I let the people at Grace Episcopal Church, Astoria know that you will not be there this year. Disappointed.
Take care and get well soon.
Thank you for alerting them. Healing is progressing. I can travel in the car as long as I keep the shoulder stable. No driving so I rely on the god graces of my chauffeur.
